The product arrived quicker than anticipated in a plain, brown 19.5" x 14" x 5" box. The stand bottom is made of plastic, but looks descent and is of a good quality. There is some assembly required, but instructions are included and the process only took about 15 minutes. The product looks great in my office and I now have a proper place to hang my suit coats during the day and can even offer to take my clients' if needed.
