Bought this as a replacement for an Eddie Bauer one that was showing its age. Since EB doesn't make one any more found this as a alternative. Not as roomy through the shoulders as my Eb piece but well made. Also got to test water proofing and it's better than EB. Good piece for use while traveling between different climates. The liner piece looks good as a jacket and has embroidered logo on the chest. This also supports ear phones and audio player if you are a walker.This jacket is very nice and warm. On days that start out cold and warm up, I have not gotten too hot while wearing it. It is very sturdy and I feel it will last a very long time.The reason for 4 stars is that the lining is a bit awkward to remove and if you don't zip it back in it does not go on as easy. Another very annoying thing is the pockets on the main jacket. The flap is backward making it hard to get your hands into. I also thought there were inside pockets that were usable. (The inner liner has pockets, but when used as a liner zipped in you cannot use them.) NO WASH INSTRUCTIONS,Finally used this jacket for what it was designed by spending a weekend in Portland, Oregon. It rained for nearly three solid days. Used the jacket three ways: as a fleece jacket, as a rain jacket, and combined. Sat in the rain for almost two hours to attend a college commencement ceremony. Stayed dry and warm the entire time.My husband loved it!!! He wanted a warm coat that covered some of the back side, that was light weight and WARM. He received the coat the next day.I had to double wash them for the smell to go away. Very awful smell. Otherwise it’s great quality and fitLikes - True to size, simple 3-n-1 design, water & wind resistant, warm, logo treatment subduedDislikes - some seams were frayed (loose threads), quality control on arm logo tab were off, only had four hand pockets, zippers needed a pull tabProblems - hood blocked upper vision (had to wear a baseball cap), outer shell needed a interior pocket, coat was restrictive when bound together (had to wear fleece & shell separately)Comfortable, warm and good pocketsIt's not warm,6 but it is comfortable and it looks good.
