This jacket surprised me. I didn't know the brand, and nobody recommended it to me. But after I receive it , I very happy with the decision.Needed a heavy duty winter jacket for a trip to NYC during the winter. Something that could provide protection from the wind and snow, without spending a fortune. This jacket definitely fit the bill. The size was a true fit and I didn't have to adjust. I chose just a basic black, but there were also a lot of options for various colors which I thought was nice.I used to have a 3-in-1 jacket from london fog I found at goodwill and after a couple years it was just too beat up to keep using. I searched all over to find something as similar as I could. This jacket is a bit different than my old one, but also better. The most important difference is that it is WARMER! I have worn just the liner and just the shell during some warmer days here in Vermont and was sweating. On super cold winter days I wear a sweatshirt with this and I am super warm.I am female, 240lbs, and 5'5". I often buy mens clothing because it fits me much better. Rather than a top being super short and wide, or having trouble finding 3X or 4X tops depending on the company, I always fit in 1X tops for mens clothing. For this jacket, it was actually a bit big on me, even having a large chest. However, I found that to be a good thing when deciding to wear the liner only, as the liner is slightly smaller than the shell (it needs to be to zip into the shell) and so the liner by itself fit me perfectly. Also, having the full jacket on and a sweatshirt underneath fit very well. One gripe is that the arms are definitely long on me, and having my hands out of the sleeves pushes the shoulders up oddly so the shoulders come out looking a bit weird. But honestly I am okay with that. This jacket is also much lighter than my old london fog jacket, which was actually a smaller jacket but heavier than this is.The zippers on this work very well, haven't had any issues with them. They are plastic not metal so I am more careful with them but they have been really great. The liner attaches to the shell in 5 places - one zipper on each side, and then the loops on the back of the neck and inside each end of the sleeves with buttoned tabs. When taking the liner out to wear, you undo the connections and then turn it "inside out" to be rightside in and the liner has two smallish pockets.I had no problem with the rain with this jacket, the only issue being the hood is GIANT and I will likely fix this by putting some velcro on the back to tighten it up so it doesn't come down over practically my whole face.I am really happy with this purchase!! I will definitely look for wantdo products in the future.I was really apprehensive when buying this coat. I've been buying Eddie Bauer coats for the last 20 years and they've always been great but I just didn't want to pay that big price again so I thought I'd try something different. I have always liked the coats that have a liner that you can wear as a separate jacket and that's partly why I picked this one. I also like for the outer shell to be waterproof so I can wear it as a rain coat without the liner . This coat fit great and is really warm. I like the liner jacket to wear by itself and I really like the looks of it. The only reason I didn't give it 5 starts is because I'm afraid that the zipper may fail well before the coat needs to be replaced. I may be wrong about that. Maybe it will last a long time. It just doesn't seem to be as robust as it needs to be to last for the long haul.Nice and warm good when it rainsHas nice under sweater puffy style but can get wet easy without the water proof first layerWe both got these Jackets two years ago for a trip out west. They fit extremely well, and are very warm and excellent in rain and snow. They have plenty of movement for skiing and was very warm and dry. It was 2-10 degrees at steamboat and -20 on top of Mount Werner Feb. 2020. I had on a T-shirt, Patagonia better sweater, and Wantdo Jacket with hood. Never got too hot or cold. Spent days in this jacket doing anything from snowmobiling in 8 feet of snow to nighttime sleigh rides. Jackets I have previously worn skiing have ranged from Outdoor Research, Northface, Arc'teryx...all were recommended but for the price of this jacket it outperformed most in comfort and warmth. Outdoor research still my favorite, but after gaining some weight a quick 100+ bucks was easier on my pride then 500 when i now live in Florida, and it really paid off...Go for it, you wont be disappointed unless you have to have the name brand or it has to fit tight (form fitting like Arc'teryx)It keeps you warm. I love that you can take the inner jacket out and use it like a light weight jacketI live in Michigan, USA. This is a WARM coat! It is my second one because I lost the shell on a trip this summer. So, this is the second winter I have used it. After exhaustive research on Amazon, it is ? the best value for a warm winter coat.It is wind and water proof. It is very warm. I have to usually take it off before getting in the car for a long trip, and I ALWAYS unzip it before even short trips. Our winters get down to -25° F windchill, so having a super warm coat for those mad dashes from buildings to cars at these times is imperative! But, most of our winter temps over right at or below freezing. At 25° F, this coat is perfect. At 36° F, just above freezing, it is too warm. I have already washed the liner because I was sweating in it so much.We went skiing when it was -11° F. I was were plenty warm. I had to unzip the coat a bit after we did our lesson on the bunny hill.A couple small critiques... (1) It doesn’t have a waste line cinch cord. So, in the wind, sometimes, it can get a little drafty. (2) the hood is just a rain hood- fine- I keep a knit hat in my pocket. But, it is really large and hangs over my eyes because it doesn’t have anything to hold it’s shape. So, I usually fold it over in light rain or snow.I’m 5’9” and 205 lbs. An XL is plenty big with room for a suit jacket underneath.Great return policy because you will need it. Nothing has a standard for size anymore, sure it will fit but when you raise your arms it will be to short. You could go bigger then you run the risk of swimming in the merchandise. This is a three and one jacket the inside layer is put in backwards so that the outside facing shell is inside and the outside is facing the backside of the external shell? Why would you do that? I would like to have it so I don’t have to reverse my jacket if I take off the external shell. I don’t want to have to turn my jacket inside out it is pointless and silly. As well the inside of the first layer does not have any pockets on the inside to store precious valuable phones very bad design in many aspects. The original concepts for three and one is way better.I have teenage boy that hates wearing a coat, (imagine that) in the winter. He says he runs too hot. We have very cold winters here in northwestern Canada (-40 °C, 0 °F). He will wear this jacket, and says it provides the perfect amount of warmth. So, if you run little on the warmer side, this is the jacket for you! I bought an XL and it fits him perfect. He's 6'2" and 170 lbs.The coat is good for moderately cold climate (I don't think I would use this if it's regularly -20C but at -5C to -10C it was fine.). The fit on the coat was perfect based on the sizing provided in the description. Very good value. The outer shell becomes uncomfortably stiff and noisy at temperatures below freezing. I had to throw it out.The puffy inner jacket is light and warm enough on it own for most conditions, but isn't waterproof. It is wearable, but too expensive for what it is. Fit is large around the waist and neck. The lining in the sleeves slops out at the wrist.Low rating because they shipped a liner of different colour than ordered. Also jacket seems thin although I didn't expect better for the price.
